John Shevlin, LMSW
Director of Client Services
John Shevlin has been working in the human services field for 20 years, serving runaways and homeless youth, persons living with mental illness and hearing impairments and persons living with HIV.
John joined the Staten Island AIDS Task Force (now Community Health Action of Staten Island) in 1998 as an HIV Case Manager. John supervised the HIV Case Management programs at CHASI from 2001 to 2005 and then served as Assistant Director of Client Services from 2005 to 2006.
Since receiving his Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2006 from New York University, John has been the Director of Client Services, overseeing and implementing our addiction treatment programs, inmate and parolee services, HIV/AIDS programming, anti-poverty and hunger relief services.
